IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition, v8.0 SR8 FP45 (8.0.8.45) (Quarterly update) Released!

We are pleased to announce the general availability of IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition, v8.0 SR8 FP45 (8.0.8.45) across all supported platforms. The binaries have been made available across all distribution sites as of 14th May, 2025. This release is based on Oracle's April’25 CPU update.

IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition, v8.0 SR8 FP45 contains the following key updates in addition to security fixes and bug fixes:

•  IBM z17 Support and Exploitation (all Z platforms) for Java 8 release. Read more about unlocking IBM z17 Java Performance here.
•  TLS server certificates anchored by Camerfirma root certificates and issued after 15 April 2025 are distrusted. Certificates that were issued on or before 15 April 2025 will continue to be trusted until they expire. Certificates issued after that date will be rejected.
